Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey is a private university with more than 60 years of experience; it has 32 campuses in México and field offices in Latin America, and representation offices in Europe and Asia. The Graduate School of Government and Public Transformation at ITESM was designed to contribute to educate professionals in both private and public sectors. The School of Government and Public Transformation promotes intellectual development and a positive social awareness. The theoretical-practical preparation is based on the concepts of Democracy, Governance, Citizenship, Rule of Law, and Poverty Fight. Among its objectives, the School of Government and Public Transformation intends to contribute to the professionalization of public administration, promoting the analysis and statement of public policies for the development of the country.

Araceli Ortega Díaz (PhD in Economics): Income Distribution and Poverty, Evaluation of public policies, Econometrics of Panel Data, Economic Growth. She has coordinated more than 42 projects and government policies while acting as Chief Advisor of the Under Ministry of Upper-Middle Education and the Under Ministry of Prospective, Planning and Assessment of Social Development in Mexico.
Edgar Aragón (PhD in City & Regional Planning): Microfinance, Competitiveness and Regional Development. Advisor to state governments and firms. Former visiting professor at Harvard University.
Marta Ochman (PhD in Social Sciences): NGOs and Social Capital, Negotiation, Civic Engagement. She is a National expert on citizenship and the role of NGOs on combating poverty.
Gerhard Niedrist (PhD in Law): Public International Law, Human Rights Law, Law of the European Union. Research on Regional Integration and Human Rights.
Gloria Pérez (PhD in Public Policy): Systems Thinking, System Dynamics and Future Studies. Research on emerging cases of poverty in the 21st century.
With a five-year project financed starting in April 2012 and organized in work packages, the School of Government and Public Transformation and participating institutions will conduct comparative studies with economic, social, legal, and prospective perspectives, among others.
